How To Submit A Work Order

You have the following options when entering a work order via the IT Help Desk Portal

1. Submit a Work Order  – without login in

2. Check Existing Work Order  – requires login in with your email address and your help desk system password (you have the option to retrieve your password here if you do not know or remember your password)

3. Log In by clicking the Log In button – same as #2


1. Submit a Work Order
– without login in

Click on the  link

Enter your county Email address and click Continue – this will take you to the Work Order screen


Once at the work order screen,

First, select your location from the Building drop-down, click on the + to expand each Pct Area



Second, enter your First Name, Last Name and Phone and select the problem or request from the Class drop-down



Last, enter the Subject and Details pertaining to your problem or request (be as descriptive as possible)



Once you have entered all your information and problem/request details, scroll to the bottom and click on Create Ticket



Once the Work Order is created you will see a notification stating that a Work Order has been submitted and that a confirmation email has been sent to your email address.

A help desk technician will be assigned to the Work Order and will contact you via phone to begin troubleshooting the issue or assess your request.

You can close the browser window or you may click on Return To Portal Home if you would like to submit another Work Order or Check on an Existing Work Order.


2. Check Existing Work Order – requires login in and entering a password

 

Click on the   or the link – this will take you to a login screen

To Log In enter your Email Address and your help desk system Password and Click on Log In.

NOTE: If you don’t know or remember your help desk password click on the Forget? link to retrieve your password – you will be asked to enter your email address and the system will email you your Password.

If you receive a  Password retrieval unsuccessful! error after entering your email address, please call the Help Desk at x6031 or (956) 292-7010.

Once you Log In you will land on your help desk dashboard.

Within your dashboard you can Create a New Work Order, view your Open Work Orders, view your Closed Work Orders, and Update Your Profile (e.g. update your contact information or change your password).

To view your Open Work Orders, click on the Open Work Orders link – this will give you a list of all your Open Work Orders

Click on the W/O# to view specific details and notes on your Work Order.

You can scroll down to view more notes regarding the status of your Work Order

To create a new work order from within you help desk dashboard, click on Create A New Work Order

Once in the Create New Work Order screen;

-          select the “Class” problem/request from the drop-down

-          enter the Subject and Details

-          click the Submit My Work Order button at the bottom of the page

-          if you’d like to attach a file, document or an image to your Work Order, you may do so by clicking on Choose File, you can then Browse for your file on your Computer

   

Once your Work Order is submitted, you will see a notification stating that your Work Order has been successfully created.

You can close the browser window or you may click on any of the links provided below the notification, to perform any of the actions you see on the page.
